EVE Online Update Highlights – March 2025

Ansiblex Jump Bridges Changes:

  • Ansiblex Jump Gates are now called Ansiblex Jump Bridges to clarify that they cannot be used while warp disrupted or within a bubble.
  • The radius of Ansiblex Jump Bridges has been reduced from 13,000m to 7,000m, making them easier to camp.
  • No longer auto-repairing, with no damage cap and new reinforcement mechanics similar to Metenox Moon Drills.
  • HP and resistances rebalanced to make them easier to repair remotely, with Shield/Armor reduced to 500,000 HP, but resistances boosted to 75%.
  • New placement restrictions ensure Ansiblex Bridges are positioned at least 100,000 km from stargates, making them harder to scout.

Ship Warp Speed Adjustments:

  • Ships’ warp speeds have been balanced for consistency, addressing issues where some ships with similar sizes had drastically different warp speeds.
  • Tech II ships such as Interceptors and Interdictors retain their warp speed bonuses, but most ships now warp at more appropriate speeds based on size.
  • Titans, Freighters, Mining Barges, and Orcas see a 10-30% increase in warp speeds.

Filament Changes:

  • Travel filaments now include a spool-up timer, with a visible filament trace that can be scanned by combat probes.
  • Warp disrupted players will no longer be able to use filaments, adding a layer of risk to fast travel.

Balance Changes:

  • Eos gets drone damage and tracking adjustments to reduce sentry drone effectiveness while boosting regular drones.
  • Orca agility improved to match or exceed Rorquals, enhancing mobility in mining fleets.
  • Heavy Interdiction Cruisers can now fit regular Cynosural Field Generators, expanding their roles.

Faction Warfare & Pirate Insurgencies:

  • Pirate FOB loot now averages 1.5 billion ISK, and new items, including Navy scanning modules, drop from pirate NPCs.
  • Updated payment structures for multiplayer reward complexes, with stricter participation requirements.

Fleet & Quality of Life Improvements:

  • New fleet commands added, including the ability to disband fleets and flag yourself as exempt from conduit jumps.
  • Improvements to PI templates, including sorting, renaming, and multi-pin adjustments.

Mining Upgrades:

  • New Tier 3 Sovereignty Mining Upgrades for Rorqual fleets with massive ore volumes.
  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 sites now feature guaranteed Mercoxit deposits and adjusted respawn timers.

Additional Changes:

  • Material costs for capital ships and T1 battleships have been reduced, making them more accessible.
  • The sales tax for manufacturing has increased to 7.5%.
  • Numerous small UI improvements, including skill queue visibility and market order adjustments, make for smoother gameplay.
